Street Fashion With Men’s suits; Kendall Jenner Shows Us How It’s Done
Whenever we’re low on fashion inspiration, you know how we look up on our fave celebrities to copy their style or to “seek inspiration” as we like to call it?
Well, of late, more than red carpet looks, it is celebrity street style that is being copied by men and women world over. And that is not just because of the versatility in terms of clothing pieces. You know the rule in street style; there are no rules!
Youth sensations like Kendall and Kylie Jenner are the ones that set good examples on street fashion for us, which again is a major reason for style steals considering their larger-than-life fan following!
You know what totally cuts it though, for us in celebrity street style?
It’s the edge!
Just this week we saw Kylie Jenner rocking her mom’s torn sweatshirt for a necklace! Now if that’s not edgy, I don’t know what is!
Well ladies, we have yet another edgy fashion innovation we can copy from, yet again from the Kardashians.
It’s Kendall Jenner this time, and boy does she know how to take street style to the next level!
Even though she does not lead the average 9 to 5 work life, it doesn’t stop her from embracing formal suits. What may possibly be seemingly boring attire for the average office goer, can apparently be spiced up and turned into a powerful fashion statement.
Don’t believe me?
Take a look at these pictures.
She was caught by the shutterbugs leaving her apartment in New York this week, all suited up with a rusty colored blazer and trousers by Wolk Morais. You’d think it would be a little too stuffy for street style what with the tailored suit and all, but in this case, let’s just say Kendall knows how it’s done!
She managed to keep the stuffiness at bay with a few cleverly incorporated simple accessories like a vintage casual fanny pack by Louis Vuitton, which she chose to wear across her chest.
Speaking of which, Kendall has been seen wearing similar fanny packs by Prada and Chanel many times before, so we could say that it is sort of becoming a signature throwback accessory for her.
Coming back to her look, her blazer was of course over-sized but the sleeves were cropped a little short, just enough to reveal a simple white long-sleeved T-shirt underneath. Talk about mix and match!
Now you know how a T-Shirt can take the place of a classic button-down when done right!
Her trousers were also cropped to ankle length, which gave a pyjama vibe adding to the casual edge. She also wore White tennis shoes which go perfectly well with her pinstriped suit and Mahogany-tinted sunglasses to complete the look.
I’d say she knows some winning tricks when it comes to borrowing from the boys. Make way for her to beat some Monday blues with her chic fashion.
