Shoes To Wear With Jeans
Do jeans stay tucked in or over boots? Is it ever okay to wear formal shoes with jeans? The road to dressing better is anything but easy, isn’t it? Of all the possible dilemmas, the one that’s most confusing is about pairing your shoes with jeans. Here are three tips to help you:
• To tuck or not, is the question!
The answer to this question definitely changes with passing trends. For now, it’s definitely jeans over boots. Or if you’re wearing ripped black skinny jeans, get them to stack up near the shoes. But if you give a damn about fashion trends, tucking your jeans inside the boots is not bad either. In fact, it’s practical this way, especially when your feet are a foot under snow. Or, when it’s muddy outside.
• Getting the casual look right:
Trainers, boat shoes, lace boots, etc. are perfect for a casual look. For example, if you’re wearing ripped black skinny jeans, pair them with white trainers for a cool and casual style. But remember, never pair skinnies with chunky shoes – you’ll end up looking like a clown. Skinny denim looks good with slim line shoes.
• You can wear dress shoes with jeans, but…
Make sure that you are wearing the right type of jeans. For example, ultra casual jeans like men’s biker jeans or distressed and ripped skinny jeans do not go well with dress shoes. Instead, jeans that fit well in the waist and those that aren’t too long will look perfect for loafers, bluchers, or chukkas.
