OTHER Launches “Liberty” And It Is More Than Perfect
It’s time for yet another celebration in the world of fashion, or streetwear clothing to be more specific. Yes, it’s another collection launch people, and it is by none other than other!
Nope, that’s not a typo error. It is the famous British design studio and lifestyle brand OTHER that’s making their grand launch with their new collection “Liberty”.
So what’s so special about “Liberty”?
Well, for starters, it is a unique collection that brings together the best of contemporary and classic styles in fashion. And it combines two extreme but related concepts of freedom and rebelliousness, with a striking biker spirit and other rock influences in the design.
The color palette majorly focuses on muted or neutral tones of black, grey and khaki in distressed fabrics. And here’s the catch. OTHER shows us how layering is the key to styling distressed fabrics in neutral shades.
The collection also has vintage pieces in deliberately washed and worn out textures, which again is another high selling point for OTHER and they maintain it throughout the collection.
Other notable styles in the collection include the Faux Fur Sweater, Destroyed and Repaired Denim, the Heavily Distressed Ribbed Cotton Vest, the Axl Shirt and the Sherpa Lined Flannel Hoody. Well sherpa and fleece are quite big this season, so it’s no surprise that OTHER chose those materials for their new collection.
And of course, over-sized is the new fit so that’s what OTHER embraces too. As a matter of fact, they have had over-sized styles for the past few seasons as well. Besides that, mellow graphics is also another trend that has been taken on from the previous years.
Some other signature details of OTHER clothing that they always like to preserve, and are a part of “Liberty” as well are dropped shoulders, raw edges, stitched hems and reverse seams. And apart from fleece and Sherpa, the collection also uses satins, denims, viscose and cotton blends.
Their basic intention is to create familiar and recognizable silhouettes for people with a slight albeit refined edge. And unsurprisingly, everyone loves it.
So here are a few highlights from the collection:
